Not sure what more we can say about these Gen 1 Volts that isn't implied by the fact that we keep getting them. We love the way they drive, their reliability, build quality, and yes, we love the way they look. This was the first US consumer available plug-in hybrid, and it took the competition years to catch up. Some never did. Even Toyota's plug-in Prius in the years to follow didn't have near the EV-only range or solid road feel of Chevy's first go at it. Battery quality has proven to be outstanding, with a big buffer between actual battery size and usable capacity, and liquid cooling mitigating any premature degradation issues at scale. After all, GM didn't want to be replacing these batteries under warranty, so they made damn sure they were engineered well.
But just in case, we do sell these with available extended warranties for folks who want to be prudent about it, and we're happy to go through those options with ya.
